Welcome to Idaho Falls Church of Christ and thank you for your interest in our church family! It is our constant prayer that God will bless us with the opportunity to share faith and life with more and more people, and you are an answer to that simple prayer.
The Idaho Falls Church of Christ exists for the purpose of developing committed followers of Jesus Christ. As His disciples, we aspire to exalt God in worship and giving, encounter God in prayer, encourage one another in fellowship, edify others through acts of service, equip believers through teaching and ministry, and evangelize our community and the world through proclamation and missions.
At Idaho Falls, you will find a congregation of authentic Christians who are doing their best to follow Jesus. We are not perfect—far from it—but we have placed our faith in a perfect Savior who helps us overcome our weaknesses and gives us the strength to walk through a fallen and broken world. Our lives have been so changed by Christ that we want everyone to experience the hope, joy, peace, purpose, grace, and love that we have found in Him. I hope you will decide to join us in our efforts to share the hope-filling message of Christ with our community and the world.
Idaho Falls Church of Christ is...
A Bible-based church. We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and we submit to its teachings in our worship, ministry, and personal lives because the Bible reveals God’s character, our purpose, and life’s meaning. We do not look to any outside creed for direction and we are free of denominational power structures. We simply desire to be the kind of church described in the New Testament.
A safe place to ask questions. All of us have questions about God, Jesus, and the Bible, but sometimes we don’t know where to go for answers. At Idaho Falls, people are free to ask any question they want and admit their struggles without the fear of being laughed at or scorned. Here, we realize that we are all sinners in need of a Savior.
A loving family and a community of Christian servants. At the Idaho Falls Church of Christ you will find loyal friends who will be there for you when you need them. We also encourage each other to use our gifts and resources to serve God and brighten the lives of others.

What are some groups where you have a real sense of belonging?
- Church, Family, Social groups, etc.
What is it about those groups that helps you feel connected?
• There is probably some level of investment.
• There is probably some level of sharing or interaction with others
The church is the most important community we can be connected to. It helps us form relationships that will last forever. Scripture offers us insights into forming deep communities of faith. In fact, the first century church was able to reach nearly the entire world at the time without the aid of all the technological advances we have today. One of the reasons they were able to do this was through connecting people to meaningful communities of faith.
Just after Peter’s sermon at Pentecost, 3000 people were baptized into the first Christian community (Acts 2:38-41). In the very next verse there is a word that is the key to community:
They devoted themselves. How important is devotion when it comes to the most important things in life? It is essential.
What happens to the things we are not very devoted to? We tend to drop them as the time requirements of our lives put other things we are devoted to in their place.
When our lives are shared in the Spirit we develop deeper relationships with each other and with God. We form communities of faith people can identify with and feel welcomed into.
Our small groups encourage genuine opportunities to connect with God and offers an environment to develop meaningful relationships. Small groups meet weekly throughout the months of September - May. These groups meet at various times throughout the week, usually in members' homes. If you would like more information on how to get involved in our small groups, contact the church through emailing:
